But, as David Allen points out in Getting Things Done, action choices arise, first and foremost, from context.
Of course, the part of you most interested in action has no value of 'context'; to that part, everything has to be done now. Yet the rest of you, as learned from what malaria teaches you about progress, and from becoming attuned to your intuition through listening, knows.
So, when actions arise, yet you find yourself host to feelings of dissatisfaction about what those actions might be—e.g., lying in bed recovering from malaria while feeling you “ought” to be making progress on your projects—pause and ask of the arising actions and the brewing dissatisfaction:
What is the context?
